The call manifested itself through an increasingly pronounced interest for light and the way it illuminates all sorts of subjects: the mist on the peaks, sugarcane fields at sunrise, fishermen's boats, streets, people… The French term for a university lecturer is ‘maître de conférences’. Starting around 2020, I ventured into photography. With a new perspective, I re-explored the villages of the north coast, delved deep into the Guyanas, climbed up the Blue Mountains of Jamaica and I wandered through the streets of old Habana and urban Japan…
Today, my most significant inspirations are Alan Schaller for his candid, unposed (and hipshot) portraits; Saul Leiter for his evocative atmospheres; and Fan Ho for his masterful compositions. I shoot communication images for major companies while also pursuing personal projects.
